Kids Yoga Classes

Get the kids started young and they'll be outdoing your yoga poses in no time. Starting this week, Community Yoga will be hosting yoga classes on Wednesdays for kids. Classes for 3-6 years are from 4.45-5.30pm; 5-8 years are from 5.45-6.30pm. Scan the QR code to sign up.

Sailing Courses

Sail Global are hosting a weekend-intensive boating course where people can learn the basics of boating, and hit the not-so-high seas of Suzhou’s Taihu Lake. There is a final exam, and graduating students are eligible to apply for the American Sailing Association certificate in ASA 101 Basic Keelboat Sailing. Speech and Debate Skills Workshop

This free workshop teaches kids the fundamentals to debate and public speaking. Participants take part in STEM-focused activities, have a chance to conduct a debate role-play, and receive personalized feedback. Available for kids aged 10-13. Sign up via the QR code.
Howl-O-Ween Charity

Starting the Halloween madness is a puntastic event aimed at raising money for animal charities: Water Droplet Animal Protection Group and Auntie Huang Animal Rescue. Aside from the snacks for hoomans and pooches, there will also be a fashion "dog-walk," and a "best-dressed" dog costume contest. Serious business. RSVP is recommended as there is limited space.
Dog Day

Lots of space in your house? Perhaps it's time you got yourself a dog? There's this dog adoption day happening at Moka Bros. Maybe make a deal with the kids that they can choose the pooch so long as they're the ones that take it for walkies.

Commune Market

The first of a double hitter weekend, Commune is hosting an outdoor market. Besides showcasing Shanghai designers, the event also has vendors offering hot food, cold drinks and treats. A special inclusion is the book swap, where bibliophiles can trade in their favs for someone else’s beloved paperbacks.
Jing'an Flea Market

Hey look at that, a flea market in Jing'an. In 2020 terminology we guess that means recycle your stuff. Aside from second-hand swapping, expect vendors selling bits and pieces and on Saturday, 1-10pm, Brew House will be doing Chicago Style pizzas and Pao craft sodas.

Spooky Halloween Workshop

Queen of Arts is hosting a Halloween-themed arts & design workshop for kids 5 years and up. There are two types of workshops, "S is for Sinister" and "Dusk ‘Till Dawn" happening both in the morning and afternoon. Families with siblings can apply for a discount.
Halloween Cookie Baking Class

Halloween always comes with sugar-overloaded snacks, cookies not being the exception. Instead of making them yourself, get the kids to learn how to bake their own at Geneva this Sunday. Class is 88rmb per kid, suitable for 2-12 years.
