Foreign-Language Church Services
Foreign-language religious services had been cancelled during the Covid period and seem to be slow coming back. There are a number of churches, fellowships and groups hosting online programs. Check out their websites below for more information:

Chinese Language Church Services
St. Ignatius Cathedral in Xujiahui is a Catholic Church and has an evening Easter Mass at 6pm, on Saturday, April 8 and services and three services at 7.30am, 10am and 6pm on Sunday, April 9. To our best knowledge, they allow walk-ins.
The Holy Trinity Cathedral is a Protestant church near the Bund and has an Easter service at 9pm, Sunday, April 9. The service is Chinese and has to be booked through their link (but apparently it's full currently).
The Mu'en Church (or Moore Memorial Church) on People's Square is a nondenominational Christian Church with four service on Sunday, April 9, starts at 7.30am, 10am, 2pm and 7pm. Need to book in advance through their online registration page.
All Saint's Church on Fuxing Lu is a protestant church and will host a good Friday service at 7pm on April 7 and two services on Sunday, April 9 at 7.30am and 10am. To our best knowledge, they allow walk ins.
Shanghai Community Church on Hengshan Lu -- Shanghai's best known Protestant church and popular among expats, was closed during Covid, but apparently recently reopened. They have three services on April 9, starting at 7.30am, 10am and 7pm. Need to book in advance through Mini Program (currently closed, but they confirmed by phone that it'll re-open again shortly)
Liquid Laundry is hosting several Easter brunch menu options on Saturday and Sunday, with activities for kids -- an egg hunt and egg paiting. Available between 11am to 4pm. Easter Brunch "Hope Springs Eternal" 108rmb; "Gospel Goodies", 98rmb; Hot Cross Buns, 48rmb. Menu on the flyer below. Add on brunch free-flow for two hours for 98rmb.
Tomatito hosts a special brunch with your friends and family to celebrate Easter. They're serving a special set menu with seven sexy Easter tapas. It's available all Easter weekend, on April 8 and 9. "Make sure to call us and book a table. See you soon, Sexy Amigos." 288rmb per person. Available from 11:30am.
This Easter, Jing An Shangri-La, Shanghai is offering a range of festive activities for the guests lunching at any restaurants in the hotel, including Easter egg hunting, face painting, taking photos with Easter Bunny and more. Egg Painting, Face Painting, photo ops with the Easter Bunny at 1515 Bloom Bar from noon until 2pm. The egg hunt is from 12:30pm-1:30pm at Calypso. Happens on both April 8 and April 9.

On Saturday, April 9 Zeitgeist is putting together a delicious Easter Brunch Buffet for you to indulge in. Cages Jing'an rolls out an extended Easter Buffet complete with carving station with maple glazed ham, homemade chicken pot pie, ground beef and more. Lounge by Topgolf is doing an Easter Brunch buffet, a family friendly atmosphere, and more kids activities — egg hunt, kids mini golf and craft station.
