  • Editor's Description

All-through Shanghai branch of Dulwich College London. There are two campuses in Shanghai: one in Pudong and the other in Puxi.  The school follows the English National Curriculum and International Baccalaureate program in the secondary school.

  • Self Introduction

Dulwich College Shanghai Pudong was the first in the Dulwich College International family of schools, opening in 2003 in the Jinqiao District of Pudong. Since opening its doors with just 23 students, the College now educates approximately 1600 students from age 2 to age 18, with over forty different nationalities represented in our diverse student body.

Our links to Dulwich College, founded in 1619, are strong, and we collaborate closely with the other schools in the network to encourage an international outlook and create an extended community where academic ability is fostered, creativity is valued, and diversity is celebrated.

We are proud to share a common heritage with all the schools in the DCI network, and equally value the traditions, unique to our school, that we have created since we opened.

In 2016, we welcomed our second campus Dulwich College Shanghai Puxi in the Minhang District of Puxi.

We offer an educational environment designed to nurture the intellectual, physical, social, and emotional development of our students. The campus is made up of three schools; DUCKS, Junior School and Senior School, in addition to shared facilities.

Shared facilities include a fully refurbished theatre with two drama black boxes, music classrooms, a recording studio and seven individual music practice rooms. For sports, there are two gymnasiums, a dance studio, function room, 25-metre six lane FINA swimming pool and training pool.

DUCKS students have their own dedicated building with a music classroom and library. There are extensive external play areas with shade, a running track, multiple tennis courts and a dedicated Toddler unit.

The Senior School opened its state of the art facility, SE21, in 2017 to encourage STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Technology) and entrepreneurship. The laboratory building opened in 2018, which includes laboratory of Physics, Biology and Chemistry.

  • School Bus

The College offers a school bus service to all students except toddlers. All buses have the required certification and have at least one bus monitor as an escort. According to Shanghai school bus security regulations, before a new school year starts, school bus stops and routes must be approved and recorded by the related government departments. Therefore, there will be a fixed route system for students during the school year. The routes must be logged by 15 June each year and will be published on the second week of August. Further registrations may still be taken as long as there are spare seats on the bus and existing stops near your home. The Bus service may not be available to distant locations and we are unable to create a new bus stop for fewer than five students. One way bus riders will be charged the same as round trip bus riders. Bus refunds for students withdrawing from the College are calculated in the same manner as Tuition Fee refunds for withdrawing students. Bus refunds for students who need to change their bus during the school year will be handled individually. Within Pudong - Round Trip: RMB 16,300 (Annual payment)
From Puxi - Round Trip: RMB 17,300 (Annual payment)
