Description

A traveling Solo Exhibition by Thailand based Chinese Artist Zhang Kexin, "one of the most active and influential Chinese contemporary artist in Thailand and Southeast Asia."

"In May 2005, the Ministry of Culture of The Royal Thai Government and the National Gallery of Thailand, will once again help to hold a Solo Exhibition for the Thailand residing Contemporary Chinese artist Zhang Kexin. This type of Governmental definite act of promotion of a Chinese artist's methodology of work is extremely rare, whether in Thailand or Southeast Asia.
The Solo Exhibition of Zhang Kexin, which is due to take place on the 10th of October 2005 at Shanghai Zendai Museum of Modern Art, is an updated and more developed exhibition in comparison to its predecessors.

Sediment-Release- Zhang Kexin International traveling Contemporary Art Exhibition brings together Zhang Kexin's latest work£¬ which take the form of multiple medias of contemporary Art.
In relation to his painting section of work, Zhang Kexin does not use the "sediment" of decades of working experience in the field of arts, as a thing of glory but as a resource for the piercing through of one's ego. Through his conceptual paintings, multi-media works etc he enters into an experimental methodology of creation. His most recent series of art work, including "China Door" amongst others, a completely strange set of visual imagery is displayed, which endeavours to highlight a broadening of scope, current flux, and the need of rebuilding the "Gate of Chinese History".
Zhang Kexin, in his sculpture and installation works, experimentally takes how the domain of painting piecing together Art's many expression of form to the language of Contemporary sculpture and installation. His Chinese methodology of creations main question reflects how his many years of living and working in Southeast Asia have engraved a strong meaning or "sediment" of deep emotion and close observation of the culture of his motherland.
