About

Film event organizers Shanghai KINO, in co-operation with local design collective Strictly Designers United, will hold a short movie screening/networking event for film enthusiasts to mingle. Both amateur and professional filmmakers will be there to share their knowledge; the main guest of the event being director Gianpaolo Lupori. He will be presenting his fourth short film, Nightawks, which aims to demonstrate the powerful effects of internet on the Chinese sub-culture. The movie is shot in both Mandarin and Shanghainese, with subtitles, so could be a good opportunity to practice listening to Chinese.

Entrance fee is 20rmb for which you get a voucher for free cup of coffee at Cafe Kommune; screening starts at 7pm and runs until late.
