Recent pieces by Shanghai artist Shan Fan go on display at ShanghART this summer. Best known for his monochrome works, here he'll be showing mixed-material paintings and installations created in the last two years. An early pioneer of abstract art in China, his new works are reminiscent of Morse code or punctuation, coming together to create a kind of new language... Grandly opens 4pm on 9 May.
