National Geographic: A New Age of Exploration

The magazine's first big exhibition in mainland China fails to live up to the hype. The confusing ticketing scheme will have you paying at least 180rmb for entry to a heavily branded (Epson, Amazon, Volvo) event. The 18-meter long wall of every National Geographic cover ever is pretty impressive, and you could spend an hour in here if you're reading all the descriptions, but overall, unless you're a diehard fan or planning on having a tourist day and hitting up the sightseeing platform anyway, this is probably one to skip. Most of the exhibition takes place on the 94th floor. The exhibition is open daily from 9am-9pm, and if you're only checking out the 94th floor, the ticket will cost you 180rmb. For access to the 100th floor, you'll need to dish out 250 bones.
