Hubei-born, Beijing-based artist Chen Xiaoyun is the focus of ShanghART's summertime solo, 106 Flashes of Lightning that I Collect. Comprising new sculptures, installations and videos all created in 2016, the exhibition is an analysis of lightning as something nominal but not material, material but not distinguishable, and distinguishable but not meaningful. The opening for that one takes place Saturday, May 21 from 3-6pm.
