About

American artist Chris Salter brings Haptic Field to Chronus Art Center this summer. That sees him work with Italian artist and musician TeZ on a multi-sensory installation that uses wearable technology to create physical experience. Garments were designed by Chinese fashion brand JNBY. This one's pretty special: produced especially for CAC, it covers four boundary-busting areas: art involving the senses, wearable tech, sensory anthropology, and the science of haptics. Visitors to the exhibition will be instructed to don one those specially designed garments, each comprising a one-piece unit with attached hood and visor. Wireless devices developed Input Devices and Music Interaction Laboratory at McGill University in Montreal then trigger vibrations, sensations and what sounds to be a pretty unique experience. Tickets cost 30rmb (weekdays) or 40rmb (weekends) online; or 35rmb/45rmb on the door.
