Coinciding with the two big November art fairs - ART021 and West Bund Art & Design - London gallery Timothy Taylor is bringing over a major exhibition of works by Alex Katz. The octogenarian is a huge deal, and best known for his distinct minimalist aesthetic. The exhibition comprises portraits of family and friends, still-lifes of flowers purchased from street vendors near his New York studio, and landscapes drawn from the artist’s personal experiences in urban and rural locations. Born in Brooklyn, New York in 1927, the artist has won a slew of awards and been exhibited pretty much everywhere. Do go see.
