This sounds... intense: part glimpse into artists' creative practices, part performance, and part endurance test, DILATED Shanghai challenges eight locally-based artists to start and finish a work of art in a continuous 24-hour period. That kicks off at 4pm on Saturday 10 December, winding up at 4pm on Sunday 11 December at Gemma Event Space (right above the restaurant). Artists include illustrator Kader Defali, US talent Alex Carroll, and Taiwanese painter Hsuan Ying Chen. Go support the artists - as well as heArtS, a charity set up to encourage artistic communication and expression for people with special needs. Proceeds from drink purchases go direct to them.
