Funk and soul club Shake dedicates a weekend to Canada's finest culinary export: poutine. For two nights only, they're serving poutines with rare toppings like hongshao rou, teriyaki beef tongue, foie gras truffle, and more. Why poutine? Shake's chef, Danyi Gao – the recently-crowned champion of one of China's biggest cooking shows, "Chef Nic" – spent time in Quebec last year starring in videos for Canada's "Keep Exploring" campaign, including an episode where she made a hongshao rou poutine that people have been asking about ever since. You can watch the first episode on Youku. Starts at 6pm on Saturday and Sunday, followed by live music. Poutines are 78rmb each or 150rmb for three.
