Fondation Cartier pour l’art contemporain: A Beautiful Elsewhere

This group exhibition features a selection of 100 key works from the 1,500 artworks that make up the Collection of the Fondation Cartier: photography from Daido Moriyama and Raymond Depardon, painting from Chéri Samba, film from David Lynch and Beat Takeshi Kitano, design from Marc Newson and Alessandro Mendini, and sculpture from Ron Mueck and Sarah Sze. The exhibition also presents artworks combining art and science with the installation by bio-acoustician Bernie Krause, and showcases emerging talents such as Gao Shan, Hu Liu and Li Yongbin, whose works will be presented alongside those of Cai Guo-Qiang and Huang Yong Ping. With an exhibition layout designed by French scenographer Adrien Gardère, it presents a number of pieces especially commissioned for the occasion by artists Jean-Michel Alberola and Christian Boltanski. A Beautiful Elsewhere takes over mainly the 5th and 7th floor. Entry fee is 60rmb (purchase on site or via Wechat: "Power Station of Art").
