China’s Booming Tourism Market
Editor's Description
Since the beginning of China’s opening up in the 1980s, China’s travel industry has transformed into one of the world’s most-watched inbound and outbound tourism markets. China is already the world's largest outbound travel market, and is expected to grow further. Following substantial increases in disposable income, the number of outbound trips from China is estimated to reach 178.4 million per year by 2022, with related expenditure expected to reach nearly 200 billion USD. Chinese travelers are also ranked among the top spenders on a per-trip basis. Join for a talk by Wendy Min, Director of International Affairs for Ctrip Group, as she shares her insights into these trends in China’s booming tourism sector. The talk will be followed by a Q&A session. 50rmb at the door including a drink.
