In town over the pre-holiday weekend? Pottery Workshop's weekly Chinese movie series is screening a rollicking Chinese western this weekend, set in the 1920s in Sichuan and the bandit Zhang (Jiang Wen) has just rolled into town, posing as its new governor. Mayhem, naturally, ensues. The film broke box office records in China, and has been praised for its story, dialogue, and cinematography. Film is free, Peddler's gin cocktails 50rmb, from 6pm.
