King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard is an Australian rock band founded in 2010 in Melbourne. Their debut EP, “Willoughby's Beach” (2011), along with the first two albums, “12 Bar Bruise” (2012) and “Eyes Like the Sky” (2013), was primarily a blend of surf music and garage rock, and all of them were released on the band's independent record label, Flightless. Since their third album, they've expanded their sounds, including different elements from film music, psychedelic rock, progressive rock, folk, jazz, soul and heavy metal. They are known for their energetic live performances and prolific recording output. Since their formation, they have already released two EPs and 15 studio albums.
