TETRIS Mon Amour
Editor's Description
TETRIS Mon Amour is a metaphor for our life. When Tetris was invented back in 1984, it quickly conquered the world, a simple computer game, but fascinating and addictive. Choreographer Roni Haver was also once hooked on it. With TETRIS Mon Amour, she declares her love to this game and the way it provokes order and self-control. You have to deal with these falling Tetris blocks, much like life itself, where you have to accept all things that come across and deal with it before “Game Over”. TETRIS Mon Amour is a highly intensive dance piece in which every small detail, every eye movement and every finger movement is regulated and choreographed, like clockwork. It is a play with the abstraction of the game Tetris, but also with the idea that strict rules can sometimes call for creativity. The music is composed by Thijs de Vlieger, part of the world famous electronic music trio NOISIA, played live on stage by the versatile musicians of Slagwerk Den Haag. The show will surround your senses: now step into the game.
