Bird hosts an alternative Cinco de Mayo, offering Northern laobing + Vietnamese banh xeo as tortillas with references to different countries, such as Mongolian lamb, smoked eggplant, yogurt or Tempura prawn, yuzu aioli, seaweed or Char siu, woba, chilli + crackling (all 68rmb). Special cocktails of the night includes mezcal + sotol (made from dasylirion wheeleri or the “desert spoon") cocktails - Spicy liquid taco with Derrumbes Potosi mezcal, tomato + lemon juice, BBQ sauce, peppers (68rmb) and Thirsty savior with La Higuera Wheeleri sotol, lime, grapefruit (68rmb).
