The inspiration of Chen Rongyi’s creation came from the feeling walking through the high rise buildings shuttering in the metropolis and the direct eye contact with the windows on the square latticed glass walls. To him, those modern architecture provide a beautifully cold and rationally isolated world of being, confusing as yet helpless. Chen Rongyi so decided to plant a sprinkling of flowers in the rooms behind the windows using ink and water colour on Chinese rice paper. Free.
