ELA is short for Ensemble Les Amis Shanghai. This group is founded on the idea of playing for wider audiences and sharing the spiritual connection offered by music. The ensemble consists of staff and students of Shanghai Conservatory of Music, and musicians from the Shanghai Symphony Orchestra. Let’s Face the Song and Dance will feature a diverse program, from Chinese folk songs like Bao Yuankai’s "The Herdsman's Mountain Song," He Zhanhao’s "The Butterfly Lovers," and well-received classics like Gershwin’s "An American in Paris."
