Organized by Miguel de Cervantes Library, this is part of an ongoing movie screening series in Spanish. Del Amor Y Otros Demonios is based on the homonymous novel written by Gabriel García Márquez. The adaptation narrates the life of a girl in Cartagena de Indias during the time of slavery. Daughter of marquises and raised by African slaves, Sierva María is 13 years old and wants to know what kisses taste like. One day a rabid dog bites her and the bishop, believing she is demonized, orders his pupil, Cayetano, to exorcise her.
