Editor's Description

A night to see renowned jazz pianist and composer Huang Jianyi, with his quintet. A graduate of the Shanghai Conservatory of Music with a bachelor's degree in piano in 1997, Huang Jianyi has stayed at the school as an art instructor and piano accompaniment teacher in the orchestra department. In 1999, he founded the FootPrint jazz band, active in major jazz venues in Shanghai and was invited to participate in the recording of "Jazz Monk" TV program. He has performed with world famous trombone player Neil Langlen. Backing him are Tian Xin on Bass, Yu Guojun on drums, Hu Danfeng on Trumpet, and Murray James Morrison on sax.
