From 27 Feb to 9 May, Yuz will host the first solo exhibition of the Chinese artist Chen Fei, showing his still life creations since 2017. Graduated from the department of Arts at Beijing Film Academy, Chen Fei has focused on geopolitics, culture, as well as identity in his work. The “Morning Market” could be seen as the visualization of Chen Fei’s efforts in collecting, sorting and summarizing objects. Everything is carefully maneuvered by the brush to create a lively market, bringing a kaleidoscopic and folded world behind the still life.
