Kaos: Art in the Underground, persistently one of the coolest monthly creative events in Shanghai, is going down again this Friday. Purposefully reminiscent of basement shows in the organizer’s art school college town, Kaos is hosted at C’s, one of Shanghai’s last and most reliable sources for grimy underground energy. Expect a fusion of local music with art, zines, poetry, fashion, tattoos and everything DIY. You can see art, buy art and even make art with your fellow Shanghai subcultures, or just rave the night away in one of the two dance floors they’re opening up for the occasion. In accordance with their all-welcoming, all-included mission statement there are no vendor fees or cover charges. Once again, that’s Friday, April 30, doors open at 8pm, totally free baby.
