Rooftop of the Banyan Tree Hotel, Tops, is doing afternoon tea for Mother's Day. The location is right on the riverfront in Hongkou and probably one of the most underrated places to take in Shanghai's iconic skyline. From here you'll get a south facing profile of Lujiazui, while the Bund side of the river curves away into the distance and you sip tea and nibble cakes on the terrace. Reservations are encouraged to get those terrace seats.
