Specters and Shanghai Soul Club present Shanghai’s first annual Funk and Soul Fest. On Saturday July 31, they are bringing together the city’s best all vinyl classic funk and soul DJs, along with record sellers including Uptown, the Melting Pot, Soul Kitchen, and many more. Specters will open early for a vinyl record market from 6-10pm. Local DJs and sellers will be swapping records and playing tunes live during the event, so come early in order to find vinyl treats from around the world, and from every genre imaginable. From 10pm til late, the party will get started with DJs Nico Panoramix, Tina Turnatrick, Thee Baron, Rochaos, Shingo, Inoken, HBD, and Zulu. They’ll be spinning their best records from the 60s-70s, and there is literally nowhere else in the world pulsating with such heavy funk, deep soul, R&B, and northern soul stompers.
