In this new series, RockBund and Historic Shanghai will take you inside the historic RockBund buildings, many of which have been inaccessible for decades. Located on Yuanmingyuan Road, the street that was once known as "Missionary Row" for the number missionary enterprises located along its length, visitors will have the rare opportunity to explore this six-story 1924 building, hear the stories of the medley of mission boards and other businesses housed here, the characters behind them, and the impact they had on Old Shanghai.
