With the collaboration of the Consulate of Argentina in Shanghai, Miguel de Cervantes Library organizes an interview with Matías Fernández Burzaco, author of Own Forms. Diary of a Body at War. The twenty-two-year-old author, journalist, and rapper suffers from a disease that generates excess skin, called juvenile hyaline fibromatosis. There are only sixty-five cases worldwide, and two of them are in Argentina: one is Matías. With his body invaded by nodules, he cannot walk or dress, and he wears a respirator to sleep. In his book, full of sarcasm and humor, he describes an existence between a bed and a wheelchair, which does not prevent him from leading a social life. He clarifies free of all self-pity: «I'm weird, I'm deformed, and I'm going to tell everything.» While the author will be connected from Buenos Aires, the artist Liu Yi, and the editor Lucila Carzoglio will be in the library.
