About

"Botticelli and the Renaissance" will present 48 rare paintings by renowned artists of the Florentine School of the Italian Renaissance. The featured artists include Botticelli, who is well-known for his works in the late 15th century; Perugino, one of the earliest Italian painters to use oil paint; Lorenzo di Credi, who took over Andrea del Verrocchio's workshop; and Fra Filippo Lippi, who was also Botticelli's teacher and a famous romantic monk painter; Cosimo Rosselli, and other art masters. The exhibition will highlight the transition from Gothic to Renaissance art and the significant influence of the famous Medici family on art history in Europe through various art forms such as tempera paintings, oil paintings, fresco paintings, and sculptures.
