The American Ballet Theatre, esteemed as one of the world's premier dance companies, has been celebrated as a national treasure since its inception in 1939. Each year, ABT performs for over 300,000 people and has embarked on more than 30 international tours, spanning 45 countries. "Giselle" weaves a romantic narrative of pure love and betrayal. Set on a radiant autumn morning in the Middle Ages, the story unfolds as Duke Albrecht of Silesia becomes enamored with Giselle, a demure and lovely peasant girl. What begins as a tender romance soon spirals into tragedy, marked by spirits, enchantment, and a poignant conclusion. The performance is scheduled for November 4 and 5 at the Shanghai Grand Theater.
