This exhibition marks Yayoi Kusama's debut at the Ota Fine Arts' new location, showcasing 56 paintings from her ongoing "Every Day I Pray for Love" series since 2021, along with new manuscripts. Following solo exhibitions at the gallery's Tokyo and Shanghai spaces, the exhibition will tour to Singapore in September 2024. Kusama has refreshed her expressive language in the form of text, she frequently blends marker and acrylic, drawing one or more circles on canvas and inscribing poems and messages in Japanese or English within. Since 2020, Yayoi Kusama has made creating in her room a regular practice. The dimensions of her artworks have also become more suited to her living space. This ongoing series of works stems from her desire to break free from self-restraint and engage in artistic creation.
