15 years of Popasuda can’t be wrong. A Shanghai OG representing the global sounds of the underground is taking his leave and giving one last hurrah on Friday. Memories abound when I think of old Dada nights raging until the late late featuring Brazilian Funk, Angola Tings, Reggae Dancehall, and more. Vibrant and raw, I personally enjoyed any chance to play such exotic music at these events as the freedom and expectations that came with them were unique to them. Likewise, Friday will provide all the desired opportunities for one more chance to hear this sound. One for the ages.
