Changsha rockers Wild Tales seem to be on a wavelength of its own - conjuring a modern-day opus that takes folksy poetic verse and imparts them via opera-esque rock and roll that feels like it could have come out as a sci-fi musical circa 1975. It’s a big sound on an even bigger canvas - complete with lush synthesizers, cranked-up guitar effects, dual drums, and sultry and gripping vocals from its two singers. The band is celebrating the release of their new two-track EP.
