Cellist Yibai Chen and pianist Boyang Shi will present a captivating evening of classical music at the Cadillac Shanghai Concert Hall on November 17, 2024. The program features an exquisite selection of French and 20th-century works, including Fauré’s Élégie and Papillon, Debussy's Sonata for Cello and Piano, and Saint-Saëns’ Sonata No. 1 in C minor. The concert will also feature César Franck’s Sonata for Violin (Cello) and Piano and Messiaen’s ethereal Louange à l’Éternité de Jésus.

Renowned for his emotional depth and flawless technique, Yibai Chen, the second prize winner of the Queen Elisabeth Cello Competition, has built a reputation as one of the most exciting cellists of his generation.
