About

The Instituto Cervantes in Shanghai presents “Collecting in the Feminine: New Ways of Seeing”, an exhibition showcasing the work of Spanish photographers Isabel Muñoz, Linarejos Moreno, and Laura Torrado, in dialogue with Chinese artist Xing Danwen. Curated by Spanish contemporary art experts Rosina Gómez-Baeza and Lucía Ybarra, the selected works are also part of significant private collections driven by women. In a field traditionally dominated by men, this fresh perspective not only highlights the contributions of women artists in the visual arts but also offers a different viewpoint on the role of female collectors in preserving and promoting contemporary art. The exhibition opens up a unique space for dialogue on the representation of the human condition and the search for female identity.
