Two celebrated Russian virtuosos—Andrey Pisarev (head of Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory's piano department) and Pavel Nersessian (professor at Tchaikovsky Conservatory, New England Conservatory, and Boston University)—team up for an epic piano marathon. As heirs to the legendary Russian piano tradition and protégés of Sergei Dorensky, they'll traverse Romantic masterworks by Schumann, Rachmaninoff, Satie, Ravel, and Tchaikovsky, with Pisarev delivering Chopin's complete Scherzos. Don't miss this 160-minute showcase of technical brilliance and poetic depth at Shanghai Oriental Art Center.

Andrey Pisarev: Prize-winner at Salzburg Mozart Competition (1991) and Moscow Rachmaninoff Competition (1983), praised for "transparent tones that bloom like vivid brushstrokes."

Pavel Nersessian: Dublin International Piano Competition laureate (1991), renowned for his commanding interpretations across classical and Romantic repertoire.
Following their 2024 debut, this annual series strengthens the five-year partnership between Shanghai Oriental Art Center and the Tchaikovsky Conservatory—Russia’s cradle of legends like Rachmaninoff and Richter.
