Description

West Bund Museum kicks off a new five-year collaboration with the Centre Pompidou with Reinventing Landscapes, a major exhibition featuring nearly 70 works from the Pompidou’s world-class collection. From Fauvism to Surrealism, the show traces key movements in modern and contemporary art through iconic pieces by Georges Braque, André Derain, Christo, Zao Wou-Ki, and more. Running alongside is Constructing Shanghai, a deep dive into the city’s urban development since 1949. Presented in partnership with Tongji University, the exhibition spans nine thematic sections and over 80 landmark projects—from the Oriental Pearl Tower to Nanjing East Road—offering a layered look at how Shanghai became the city it is today.
