The 2025 China Shanghai International Children’s Book Fair (CCBF) runs November 14–16 at the Shanghai World Expo Exhibition & Convention Centre. Expect 500+ brands, 60,000 books, and special guests like Hans Christian Andersen Award winner Sydney Smith and Japanese picture book creator Shinsuke Yoshitake. Highlights include book signings, creative workshops, and exhibitions such as the Golden Pinwheel Illustration Exhibition and Illustrators Avenue.

CCBF is a leading copyright exchange hub for children’s books (ages 0–16), as well as a vibrant gathering place for teachers, parents, children, book lovers, collectors, illustrators, and translators.

The fair will feature participants from 35+ countries, 500+ brands, 60,000 books, and 20,000 new releases. Visitors can discover everything from blockbuster Chinese originals to award-winning international titles making their China debut—an opportunity to explore the global book world without leaving Shanghai.

For book lovers, this is a must-visit event! Explore original titles at special fair discounts at booths including BOOCUP, Shanghai Shendong Foreign Language Book Store, Shanghai Foreign Languages Bookstore, and more. Many new releases are available exclusively at the fair.

This year’s lineup includes Sydney Smith, 2024 Hans Christian Andersen Award winner, and Shinsuke Yoshitake, the beloved Japanese picture book creator (It Might Be An Apple), both visiting China for the first time. They will be joined by Leo Timmers (Belgium), Alessandro Sanna (Italy), Øyvind Torseter (Norway), and acclaimed Chinese authors A Geng and Hei Mi. Across the three days, visitors can look forward to 200+ onsite activities, including book signings, creative workshops, and forums for all ages.

For the latest highlights and guest updates, follow CCBF’s official website and WeChat (ccbookfair). Tickets are now available—join from November 14–16, 2025 for a celebration of children’s books.
