Ring in the New Year with one of the world’s most beloved ballets. The St. Petersburg Classical Ballet Theatre brings Swan Lake to Shanghai on December 30, featuring principal dancers Ivan Oskorbin from the Mariinsky Theatre and award-winning ballerina Larisa Korsakova. A timeless story of love and magic, performed with the grace and precision of Russia’s finest ballet tradition.

On December 30, the St. Petersburg Classical Ballet Theatre presents Swan Lake — the crown jewel of classical ballet — to close the year with grace and grandeur. Composed by Tchaikovsky and choreographed by Petipa, Swan Lake remains a defining masterpiece of the ballet world, known for its sweeping score, poetic storytelling, and the dual role of the White and Black Swan — a test of both strength and artistry for any ballerina.
This performance features guest principal dancer Ivan Oskorbin, a leading artist from the Mariinsky Theatre, celebrated for his precise technique and powerful stage presence, alongside Larisa Korsakova, an award-winning principal ballerina recognized for her expressive and refined performances. Together, they bring emotional depth and elegance to this century-old tale of love, betrayal, and redemption.
Founded in St. Petersburg — the cradle of ballet — the company is composed of professionally trained dancers who have performed across Europe, the Americas, and Asia. Known for preserving the classical Russian tradition while exploring new artistic possibilities, the troupe’s repertoire includes Don Quixote, The Nutcracker, and The Sleeping Beauty. This special New Year’s performance promises to be an unforgettable evening of artistry and timeless beauty.

Program:
Swan Lake — Full-length classical ballet in four acts, choreographed by Marius Petipa, music by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky.
