To welcome the New Year, ALTER., in collaboration with Sugar House, returns to Alila Shanghai to host a multi-stage New Year’s Eve countdown party set across the hotel’s rooftop and indoor spaces.

The event runs from 9:00 PM on December 31, 2025, to 2:00 AM on January 1, 2026, taking over three distinct stages: two indoor stages and one outdoor rooftop stage. Each area features a unique setup and its own dedicated bar, with free-flow options available throughout the night.

The outdoor rooftop garden stage is dedicated to the midnight countdown moment. The program blends live band performance and an international DJ set, leading into a countdown experience enhanced by gourmet snacks and a holographic cold-fireworks show. This stage operates from 9:00 PM to 12:30 AM.

Victor Aime began his career in Paris in the late 2000s as a concert promoter, curating forward-thinking events that brought artists like Kavinsky, Justice, and Breakbot into intimate venues for a new generation of audiences. Before social media shaped youth culture, he worked closely with global brands including Nike, Coca-Cola, and Colette, positioning himself at the intersection of music, fashion, and cultural innovation.

In 2010, he joined Pedro Winter at the legendary Ed Banger Records, contributing to major festival tours, album campaigns, and special projects that helped define the French electronic music scene. After relocating to Shanghai in 2014 to lead creative direction for Le Baron China, Victor established himself as one of the region’s most in-demand DJs, regularly performing across Asia at club nights, brand launches, and private events.

With over a decade behind the decks, ALTER. Soundsystem crafts dance-floor journeys rooted in electronica, synth-driven sounds, and influences from the 80s and 90s. Their sets move fluidly between indie dance, breaks, italo, and techno, creating a cinematic disco groove designed to make bodies think, move, and stay locked in.

Active since 2016, DORA has performed more than 200 shows across 30 cities in China and is now a DJ instructor at Gate Music. She is also involved in electronic music production, continuously expanding her sound beyond the dance floor.

Her sets are wide-ranging yet instantly recognizable, moving seamlessly between downtempo, old-school funk, R&B, hip hop, disco, new wave, post-punk, and electronic styles including house, electro, breakbeat, techno, dubstep, UK bass, and drum & bass. Known for fluid but restless transitions, DORA deconstructs genres and rebuilds them into energetic, cohesive journeys that resonate with both underground and mainstream audiences.

Located in Alila’s largest private lounge area, this room is fully curated by Sugar House. The space combines a chic, sensual atmosphere with a private bar and high-energy dance floor. Music selections span hip-hop, R&B, afro sounds, house, and other contemporary club styles, presented by Sugar House’s resident DJs. This stage runs from 10:00 PM to late.

Heatwolves, founder of LOVE BANG, is a producer, DJ, and rapper whose sound was shaped in Shanghai after early roots elsewhere. With 14 years of DJ experience and projects including LOVE BANG, Hologram Dreams, and Barbarism, his performances are playful, chaotic, and driven by a distinctly cinematic sense of fun.

Kin.J began collecting hip hop, funk, and reggae records as a student and stepped into his DJ career in 2014 after leaving underground dance music radio. Driven by a deep love for Black music and vinyl culture, MMQ began collecting records, producing beats, and DJing from an early age. Rooted in hip hop and other Black-originated sounds, his sets blend multiple genres through creative mixing while keeping groove and musical heritage front and center. For MMQ, DJing is about sharing great music and passing on knowledge, turning the dance floor into both a sonic and cultural experience.
