This one’s a big NYE production: ALTER. and SOCIAL SUPPLY are teaming up with the brand-new Thompson Shanghai Expo for a roaming “Walking Supperclub” led by award-winning chef May Chow. After dinner, the party moves up to the 20th-floor rooftop for a free-flow countdown with international guest DJs, local acts, and 270° skyline views. It’s the kind of New Year’s Eve that’s more of a journey than a seated party.
Award-winning chef May Chow leads a Walking Supperclub, guiding guests through multiple hotel spaces with unique atmospheres and progressive dining, replacing traditional seated service.
After dinner, the party moves to TOTS, the 20th-floor rooftop, with multiple stages curated by ALTER., international and local DJs, free-flow drinks, and optional champagne upgrades. The rooftop offers 270° views of the Bund, Huangpu River, and China Pavilion.
This New Year’s Eve blends a roaming culinary journey with a high-altitude celebration, building a sensory crescendo into 2026.

Chef May Chow, widely recognized as the Queen of Modern Chinese cuisine, rose to prominence through her acclaimed Hong Kong restaurants Little Bao and Happy Paradise—venues celebrated by Tatler, Time Magazine, and the World’s 50 Best Discovery list. Her bold, modern approach to Chinese cooking and her energetic personality, seen on shows such as Top Chef Masters and Parts Unknown, have positioned her as one of the most respected culinary voices in the region. In 2025, she launched her “May Chow” collective brand alongside a new retail line, a cookbook, and her first London opening. She also serves on the board of Eat Forum and is an outspoken advocate for LGBTQ rights, diversity, and female empowerment.

Born in Milan in 1996, Vithz is a DJ and producer shaping the underground scene with his 90s Chicago- and Detroit-inspired house sound. He launched UFEEL in 2018, turning it into one of Milan and New York’s most danced-to parties while curating international acts. From Fabric London to Shanghai rooftops, he’s shared stages with legends like Seth Troxler and Moodymann, bringing energy wherever he plays.

Tofu (Ivan Anishchenko) is a DJ and producer known for his distinctive, unconventional music selection and performances. He co-founded the influential “Disciplina” project in the Russian Far East and later became a Shanghai fixture with residencies at clubs like Potent, 44KW, Roza, and Tang. His career has included a nationwide China tour and performances alongside artists such as Vakula, Scuba, Blue Hour, and Exos.

Stefano DVT is a Serbian DJ and event promoter who shaped Vienna’s underground and mainstream scenes through his work at Internationals Agency and as co-founder of Blackmarket club. Known for energetic after-party sets blending minimal, rominimal, breakbeats, and house, he has shared stages with artists like Marko Nastic, Andrey Pushkarev, and Eddie Richards. He is also the co-owner of Shanghai’s arts and entertainment label Genom Sequence.

echocatcher is a selector who fuses dance music with visual culture, channeling UK Garage, Bass, Breakbeat, Techno, and Dubstep under her bouncy, high-energy sound. Her work blends vinyl, radio, club aesthetics, and street culture into vibrant, body-focused sets. She has appeared on platforms such as Boiler Room, Rinse FM, and Kiosk Radio.

Lina K is a defining figure in China’s underground scene, known for shaping Shanghai’s techno landscape through her club night Techno Train and her advocacy project Techno Is A Woman. Her style combines raw, hypnotic techno with dark atmospheres and breakbeat elements, reflecting her personal experiences and emotional expression. She has released on respected labels and performed alongside artists including Nina Kraviz, Rebekah, Magda, and Electric Rescue.

Raised in Frankfurt’s influential club culture, Thomas Futoso developed a style shaped by early house and techno and the German scene of the late 2000s. Now a key figure in pushing techno and house across Asia, he is known for seamless mixing and strong crowd connection. Through his Break The Wall event series, he has brought notable international artists such as Fumiya Tanaka, Dan Andrei, and Janeret to the region.
