A major survey dedicated to Swiss modernist André Evard brings together over 100 works that trace his distinctive visual language across four key areas: Art Nouveau, landscape painting, still life, and concrete abstraction. Often regarded as a pioneer of Swiss constructive art, Evard developed a practice that moves fluidly between natural observation and geometric order, where color, structure, and light are constantly reworked into calm yet highly constructed compositions. From early botanical-inspired decorative motifs to luminous, subjective landscapes and later rigorous geometric systems, his practice reveals a continuous process of translation—turning the external world into layered visual structures shaped as much by perception as by imagination.
