Anoushka Shankar makes her Shanghai debut with a concert spanning classical, contemporary, and world music traditions. Joined by an ensemble of acclaimed musicians, she will perform selections from her Chapters trilogy alongside works from across her career, including music inspired by her father Ravi Shankar and collaborations with Norah Jones.
Anoushka Shankar is one of today's leading sitar players and composers. Marking more than thirty years of international touring, she continues to explore connections between musical traditions and contemporary sounds.

This Shanghai debut brings together music from her Chapters trilogy, whose final installment was released in 2025. The three EPs document a personal and musical journey across places, emotions, and styles. The concert will also feature works including Fire Night, adapted from music by Ravi Shankar, and Traces of You, originally created in collaboration with her half-sister Norah Jones.

Performing with clarinetist and keyboardist Arun Ghosh, double bassist Tom Farmer, and drummer and percussionist Sarathy Korwar, Shankar presents a quartet program that expands the expressive possibilities of the sitar through classical, electronic, jazz, and world music influences.

A thirteen-time Grammy Award nominee, Anoushka Shankar is a sitar player, composer, curator, writer, and film composer.
