The Broadway original musical Kinky Boots comes to Shanghai West Bund Theatre in November 2026. Based on a true story, the musical follows a struggling shoe factory owner and a talented performer who work together to create a new business opportunity through a pair of bold red boots.

About the Show

Kinky Boots is a Broadway original musical inspired by a true story. The production follows Charlie Price, who unexpectedly takes over his family’s traditional shoe factory after his father’s passing. Facing the challenge of saving the business, Charlie meets Lola, a talented performer, and discovers a new opportunity through creating a line of distinctive red boots.

As the two collaborate, their different perspectives lead to both creative breakthroughs and conflicts while preparing for an international runway presentation.
