Hero% is a contemporary dance solo choreographed by Belgian-French choreographer Karine Ponties and performed by Eric Domeneghetty. The work explores the contrast between an ordinary person and a comic-book-style superhero through movement, identity, and imagination.

The solo performance presents a dancer with two contrasting identities: an ordinary man wearing a neat suit and a classic comic-book superhero dressed in a red leotard. Through these two personas, the work explores a figure who exists between everyday life and heroic imagination.
The performance follows this character as he moves forward with determination, attempting to transcend the ordinary world while remaining true to himself.
Eric Domeneghetty performs Hero% as a solo work. He has toured the production across European countries including Belgium, France, the Czech Republic, and Luxembourg.
Hero% presents a solo dance performance built around the contrast between an everyday identity and a superhero persona. Through movement and theatrical expression, the work explores the relationship between reality, imagination, and personal determination.
Curated and presented by Shanghai International Dance Center Theater, the Dance Out of the Box Festival was launched in 2022.
Inspired by the idea of “think out of the box,” the festival focuses on breaking conventional frameworks and boundaries through dance. It explores diverse expressions in contemporary dance and supports artists in developing creative practices across different forms.
