Shanghai’s pro-wrestling scene is getting a serious international boost this January. The World Pro-Wrestling Exchange Tournament brings wrestlers from five countries to 36space in Xuhui, headlined by IWGP Women’s Champion Sareee and a chaotic four-way title defense featuring Big Sam. Expect hard-hitting action, big personalities, and a night that’s equal parts spectacle and sport.

The World Pro-Wrestling Exchange Tournament is coming to Shanghai with boots, belts, and bruises.

Wrestlers from five different countries will gather in Shanghai for an international showcase of professional wrestling, featuring a mix of championship bouts, cross-border matchups, and high-impact performances.

Headlining the event is Sareee (formerly known as Sarray), the 5th IWGP Women’s Champion and current PWI No. 8-ranked wrestler. A former WWE superstar, Sareee will make a rare appearance in Shanghai, bringing her signature Strong Style wrestling to the ring.

The KOPW World Championship will also be on the line, as reigning champion Big Sam defends his title in a four-way match against Zombie Dragon, Kung Quan Cheng Da, and Coldray. Adding to the spectacle, DJ BO—ranked as Shanghai’s No. 2 DJ—will appear as Big Sam’s exclusive manager.

The card also features a special cross-border tag team match, including Yuto Kikuchi, a wrestler from Japan’s Pro-Wrestling NOAH, further highlighting the tournament’s international lineup.
