Description

Herlarious Club, hosted by the sharp and sassy Li Ying, is a comedy haven that puts female comedians in the spotlight. With three shows every week and a loyal following of 5,000 fans, the club has quickly become one of the city's favorites. Li Ying, an experienced teacher and new mom, cultivates a space for women to thrive in comedy, both onstage and off.

Herlarious Unleashed - 7 March, 8-9:30pm

Because “well-behaved women” don’t headline comedy shows. This Women’s Day, Herlarious Club ditches subtlety and doubles down on sharp punchlines and unapologetic energy. Iris, Piper, Li Ying—and yes, Horace made the lineup—bring a bold, slightly unhinged night of stand-up that’s all attitude and zero filter.

A Comedy of Cultures - 14 March, 8-11pm

This show is what happens when you grow up between cultures and realize both sides are a little ridiculous.

Herlarious has got comics who learned English from Hollywood, values from their parents, and emotional damage from both. From culture shock to family pressure to dating disasters across continents — nothing is safe.

If you’ve ever felt too foreign at home and too Chinese abroad, come laugh with us. Therapy is expensive. Comedy is cheaper.

High Heels Low Standards - 21 March, 8-9:30pm

This is a comedy show about love, dating, and the mysterious ability of women to see red flags… and still proceed anyway.

Four comedians, brutally honest stories, and the kind of jokes that feel like group therapy — but with better lighting and alcohol.

The Men Who Made Me Funny - 28 March, 8-9:30pm

Li Ying grew up around tough men on a farm in Northeast China, dated men across continents while living abroad, and is now raising a future man in Shanghai as a single mom.

Some taught her resilience. Some taught her independence. All of them taught her jokes.

The Men Who Made Me Funny is a sharp, honest, and hilarious look at masculinity, love, and turning life into punchlines.
