Legendary mezzo-soprano Joyce DiDonato brings her Grammy-winning album Songplay to Shanghai for a one-night concert. Accompanied by piano, trumpet, double bass, drums, and bandoneon, she performs music spanning four centuries—from Italian Baroque to 20th-century jazz and tango. The program offers an intimate, immersive experience blending classical and contemporary sounds.

Joyce DiDonato performs Songplay, her signature cross-genre project, accompanied by five instrumentalists: piano, trumpet, double bass, drums, and bandoneon. The concert spans four centuries of music, from 17th-18th century Italian vocal works to 20th-century jazz, tango, and contemporary compositions. The program juxtaposes classical and modern styles to create a unique musical dialogue that highlights the versatility and enduring vitality of vocal performance.
