Shanghai's longest running jazz festival returns for six days, across 5 venues, with over 150 musicians and 100 performances, mostly at the West Bund. All of the outdoor performances are free, and the indoor ones are ticketed (hit JZ's WeChat for that - ID: JZPOST爵士生活). This is in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture of Brazil and the Consulate General of Brazil in Shanghai, so there's numerous Brazilian artists performing, including headliner Ivan Lins on April 30. Other headliners include Edmar Castañeda Quartet (May 1), Kenny Barron Quartet (May 2), and 鹤 The Crane (May 4). Most of this is taking place on the West Bund, at the following venues: West Bund Grand Theater, West Bund Dream Center, the West Bund Waterfront, and Sky Oasis, but some shows are at No. 8 Hengshan Road (where JZ Club is), so be sure to check the schedule carefully. In general this is a great fest to just go check out, wander around, and discover some really nice live music for free - no need to think too much here. Check the poster for the full lineup and schedule. Please note that some ticketed events are NOT on the West Bund.
