Vocalist/saxophonist Reny Bao and vocalist Jade Lee lead the ensemble with their distinct yet complementary voices, while piano, bass, and drums create a nuanced, breathing rhythmic space.

Performers

Vocal/Sax: Reny Bao

Reny Bao is a leading Chinese jazz saxophonist and singer, signed with JZ Music and a Yamaha Young Artist. Educated in Shanghai and the U.S., he has performed at top jazz festivals in China and Japan, and his first album “Beginning Of Spring” was released in 2021.

Vocal: Jade Lee

One of China’s top jazz vocalists, Jade Lee moves effortlessly between vintage and modern styles. Her rich, warm voice can be playful, tender, or deeply soulful, always delivering a performance full of emotion and presence.

Piano: Liu Liwei

A young jazz pianist, Liu Liwei started classical training at age 7 and discovered jazz in high school. Now a master’s student at Shanghai Conservatory, he performs across Shanghai and collaborates with international jazz artists.

Bass: Harrison Wardley

Australian double bassist, based in Shanghai. Harrison has collaborated with international jazz masters and performed extensively in China and abroad. His own album “Short Journey” was released in 2019.

Drums: Wu Zhenbang

Wu Zhenbang trained at Shanghai Conservatory and New England Conservatory, performing with top jazz musicians worldwide. He blends classical technique with jazz improvisation, bringing a dynamic pulse to every performance.
